Everyday is a new day

Every day, God gives us the opportunity to make a fresh start and turn over a new leaf.

Every day, God extends his mercy to us anew: Lamentations 3:21-23.

Every day, as Christians, we are being inwardly renewed: 2 Corinthians 4:16.

Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection we can walk in newness of life: Romans 6:4.

If we are in Christ, we are part of a new creation: 2 Corinthians 5:16

Jesus did not come to make us better people or to give us a better life. Though the letter to the Hebrews repeatedly speaks about the New Covenant as being a better covenant. Rather, Jesus came so that we could become new and live a new life in close relation with him, saved by him, and empowered by his Spirit!

Christianity is not just something we can add to our life. Real Christianity spiritually transforms and regenerates us, making us into something new: Titus 3:4-6. It makes us more like Jesus himself: 2 Corinthians 3:18.
